The Presidential Guard Regiment is based in the same place since it was founded, on Herod Atticus Street and is named after the chieftain and hero of the Revolution of 1821, George Tzavellas.

This regiment is consisted of two Evzone companies and one Administration Company. The administration company is not staffed by Evzones but from reserve soldiers who assume camp duties(guard, ground and car maintenance).

There is also the Mixed Grace Company who is consisted of three corps, Infantry, Air Force, Navy. This company has its headquarters at KEVOP and the Infantry section is mainly consisted of candidates for Evzones who were cut at the last selection procedure.

At the regiment there is also the civil staff, which is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the Evzone uniform.

This regiment, although it has a solely ceremonial role, still is a unit of the Greek Army and so it follows some basic programs like the morning reveille, the morning report, the evening report and the Friday Inspection. At the rest of the day when the Evzones have no duties, they spend their leisure time resting, since the four hours they are on duty (one hour per 6 hours) are especially tiresome.

At the Guard, there is a daily intensive gymnastic program so as to prevent any problems from the continuous standing.
